IF Design Award
The iF Design Award is an internationally recognized award that is given for outstanding achievements in design. It was established in 1953 in Germany and is considered one of the oldest and most prestigious design competitions worldwide. The award is organized by the iF International Forum Design GmbH, based in Hannover.
The competition is divided into various categories, including product, communication, packaging design, and service design, to name just a few. Designers, companies, and organizations from all over the world submit their work, hoping to receive the coveted award, which not only represents recognition for design excellence but is also considered a seal of quality by consumers.
The evaluation of submissions is carried out by an international jury of experienced design experts, who assess the works according to set criteria such as the degree of innovation, functionality, aesthetics, responsibility, and positioning.
Winners of the iF Design Awards receive a trophy and are entitled to use the iF-seal, which is recognized worldwide as a symbol for outstanding design. In addition, they benefit from increased visibility through the publication of their work in the iF World Design Guide, as well as in exhibitions and various publications.
PyroTex Industries received the award in 2015 for the product development of the PyroTex® fiber.
